Here is my latest scratchboard. Carmie, a maltese/poodle that I did for some friends. I scratched it with a carbide scribe, scratch nibs and a fiberglass brush. It is an 8×10 colored with Ampersand inks.
I have finished my Scratchboard of Sammie. I think that it turned out excellent. This portrait was mainly done with a carbide scribe. However, I did use other tools including a fiberglass brush and a scratch nib. I used Ampersand Inks to add the color.
I have made some progress on the Sammie scratchboard portrait. I did some more scratching and added in the first layer of coloring. I still have a lot to do, but she is coming along quite well.
Here is an update on Sammie, still a long ways to go.
I have been commissioned to do another pet portrait in scratchboard. This one is of a beautiful Samoyed named Sammie. This is an 8″x10″ drawing, so far I have used a carbide scribe and a scratch nib. I still have a long ways to go but so far she is coming along quite nicely.
I have finished my latest scratchboard drawing of Sioux. To scratch this portrait I used a carbide scribe, Scratch Nibs, a scalpel and a fiberglass brush. I colored it with Ampersand Inks.
My latest scratchboard is a dog portrait, of a English Setter named Sioux. This scratchboard is an 8″x10″. I have been using a carbide scribe, Speedball tips, and a scalpel for the scratching to this point. I will be adding at least one more layer of color with more scratching before I call this piece done.
Welcome and thank you for visiting my new website. I am in the process of building a new website. I will be updating the site over the next few days and working out any bugs that I may find. I hope you will visit often as there is still quite a bit of information and other artwork to add.
